Visit to The Netherlands

In the summer of 2013, I finally journeyed to The Netherlands to visit my families roots. My Opa and Oma, along with my mother, immigrated in the mid 1950's from Nunspeet, Gelderland, first to Ontario, Canada and then to the USA, finally settling in the Pacific Northwest.

My husband accompanied me on this amazing trip. We had a day layover in Iceland and then spent nearly two weeks in the wonderful land of the Dutch. We stayed with family and visited the birthplaces of my grandparents and mother.

We felt right at home and it was hard to say good bye.
